Mission Statement: To provide a holistic and integrated programme which will enhance the social, emotional, intellectual, moral and spiritual growth for all MGS pupils.

Focus areas and Function of the Dept
1. Affective Development
Goal: To make every MGS girl feel special and welcome in MGS in order that she finds a sense of belonging to the school community.
Programmes:
Sec 1 – Orientation Camp, DISC Profiling, Teacher-Pupil Conferencing
Sec 2 – Experiential Learning Camp, Family Night, Sexuality Education, Social Etiquette & Fine Dining, Teacher-Pupil Conferencing

2. Intellectual Development/ Career Guidance
Goal: To equip every MGS girl with life skills such as Study Skills, Time Management, Stress Management, understanding their Learning & Cognitive Styles, extending learning outside the classroom as well as making wise decisions in choosing their educational pathways beyond MGS.
Sec 1 – Industrial Visit, ROCs 1 (Habits of Mind), Life Skills (such as Setting Goals, Time Management, Study Skills)
Sec 2 – Tourism Talk, ROCs 2 (Habits of Mind), Experiential Learning in Adventure Camp, Sexuality Education

3. Moral & Spiritual Development
Goal: To imbue sound values in every MGS girl and provide the Christian environment that she may know God and grow in His wisdom, stature and favour with God and man.”
