Social Studies is an integrated study of the social sciences to prepare pupils to become responsible citizens and grow as socially responsible individual. It seeks to cultivate thinking skills and nurture the capacity to make informed decisions, explore values essential to self and society, encourage a sense of need to contribute to society and influence its progress.

Philosophy aims to build communities of inquiry within the classrooms which are characterized by traits such as Intellectual Risk-taking, Inductive and Deductive Reasoning, Respect and Tolerance of differing views, and Students accepting responsibility for their own views. Students work together to generate and then answer their own questions about issues from a wide range of resources.

Life Skills is a module that includes IT and Home Economics. It aims to allow pupils to explore skills that are essential in the 21st century. Students will study Home Economics and IT in alternate semesters.

Aesthetics encompasses Visual Art, and Music and Dance. It gives pupils opportunities to acquire the foundational skills and develop an appreciation of the arts. This forms an integral part of the school’s balanced and holistic education.

Individualised Study Options is modeled after the GEP’s ISO. It aims to develop pupils in research and inquiry skills, and oral and presentation skills. It also allows pupils to pursue a topic of their own interest, and to acquire new knowledge through Individual Research Studies, Problem-Based Learning and Future Problem Solving.

The curriculum also includes Values Education and Physical Education. These two key pillars complement the academic curriculum in providing a balanced all-round education.
