Our Favourite Recipes

Cooking anyone? This is a charming and unique tome of recipes contributed by teachers and old girls, including Mrs Wee Kim Wee and some prominent local cookbook authors such as Mrs Ellice Handy (of course!), Mrs Leong Yee Soo and Mrs Christina Fones. Recipes include Mrs Handy’s special nasi lemak, chilli tomato and prawn sambal, Mrs Leong’s steamed prawns in wine, Mrs Fones’ nasi kunyit, Mrs Margaret Goh’s diced sambal pork, Mrs Mendis’ string hopper pilau and many more unusual and easy to make recipes. Introduction by Ellice Handy. Every recipe is attributed to its contributor.

Love Food Cookbook

A hardcover cookbook by local food writer Pauline Dawn Loh carrying wide ranging recipes for the home kitchen, from classic flavours to innovative concoctions. Recipes include bak chang, chicken rice and garlic mayo prawns, to winter melon chowder, banana wraps, sticky date pudding, and much more. Love colour photographs accompany each recipe.

A live recording of classical piano music by child prodigy and MGS girl Abigail Sin. Pieces include Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring by Bach, and Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in G Minor Op 25, etc.
